This sounds like an interesting upgrade, but I definitly do not want to hurt my fuel mileage.

So can I expect better fuel mileage??

That would be dependant on your individual Xj, but I would never see this upgrade hurting fuel mileage. Some rigs it will help fuel mileage, some it won't have any effect on... but I wouldn't see it hurting it by any means. My shift points from first to second gear are lower after this upgrade... that alone will help fuel mileage tremendously.

I've got my bored TB on finally and it is awesome. I'm getting a couple of trouble spots done before I put on a lift and bigger tires, and the TB is definitely a step in the eight direction in getting ready for larger tires. It's made a noticeable difference in my acceleration and wide open throttle.

The difference is definitely huge when you've got a lift and large tires. I love this upgrade. Its always the small simple upgrades I love the most. Some idiot pulled out in front of me last month on my way to work and smashed my whole front end and I was yelling at him because he smashed my headlight. I didn't care that my mechanical fan went through my radiator or that the unibody rail was all twisted up..... Just that my headlight was smashed. My headlights and this TB are probably my two favorite small upgrades.

Some guy asked what he could do for an upgrade.....I said, buy a ported throttle body from Thexjfiles!
Since Im not a paying member or a Vendor there....they didnt like that very much....oh well.

They're just jealous because they don't have a bored throttle body and they don't want anyone else to either.

I'm looking to get one as well but I see you don't have 99's. I'm gonna try to find one and send it to you to have it done for me. Is that cool?

Well, they are not very cheap here in NJ. But I'll keep looking. Otherwise, let me know when you get one for my year. Thanks.

I ran into the same problem. I checked the price of them to see if I could pull some at the junkyard and send them to him but they run around $40 at the junkyard. They are listed as carbs...

Yup! I even checked ebay. Same thing. It's like someone put the word out that he's doing them now and everybody jacked up the price. You used to be able to get the for 10 or 15 bucks because nobody ever needed them.
