Hmm, I just unbolted mine and looked at the mating surfaces to see if there is a gasket, which there is not. Maybe that explains the vacuum leak I haven't been able to find for the last year (Even spraying the TB didn't show a leak). I tried looking online for the gasket and couldn't find it. Any ideas where to get one cheap?

Buy a power aid throttle body spacer. More gains in fuel with moderate driving. And a set of gaskets. (over/under spacer)

Any decent auto parts store should have em, or just trace your TB on gasket paper and make one.

I tried National Auto Parts, Autozone, and Advance Autoparts... None had any. I don't want to spend the money on a TB spacer and I don't have gasket paper because it's pricey.

Ill send you a used one in the mail, or a piece of gasket paper if you want it.

Advance carries one. That's where I found mine. I forget what needs to be searched, but throttle body gasket wasn't what it was listed under in the store computer. Hold on one sec...

Edit: found it!

Got my TB in the mail the other day, looks great. If it ever stops raining I'll be able to get it installed.

1991Jeep_Man, thanks for the link. I couldn't find it for the life of me lol. I'll go pick one up when I get the chance.

Will do. My rig usually takes power gains pretty well. My recent mechanical fan upgrade made it go from occassionally being able to chirp 33's off the line to usually being able to spin them. I was very impressed by the upgrade. The bearing for my mechanical fan was also completely toast; I could barely spin the shaft by hand after I pulled it.

P.S. It's raining AGAIN.

You need a build thread friend. You are putting together a nice rig. And remember:

Haha, thanks. I've thought about making a build thread a couple times, but it's one of those things where I'm so far into the build I don't know how I would start a build thread. It would definitely have some pretty damn interesting stories though; my friends don't call me "Murphy's law" for no reason.

(Latest story: A Mercedes pulled out in front of me on my way to work March 23rd... My birthday. As if my birthday wasn't going to be enough of a bummer working 11-8, I wreck the Jeep on my way there and spend half my day in the hospital, the other half sleeping because of all the meds they gave me. I've got an interesting life, to say the least.)

Depending on how I feel after work I plan on heading up to the new Advance Autoparts that opened up the road from my work and picking up a TB gasket. Maybe I will get lucky and it won't rain for a couple hours tomorrow.

I have a '99 that I just installed one of these bored TBs. It seems to have smoothed out part of a stutter I had in my engine, but it definitely added some top end to my throttle. Thanks. I will have my core TB in the mail back to you Monday or Tuesday.
