Steering Wheel Removal and Install
I just can't seem to get my pitman arm off. I bought a puller and heated it with a torch, so I give up on that. Whoever put the lift on before I bought my Jeep put it on at the wrong angle my steering wheel is way crooked. Can anyone tell me if I can just pull the steering wheel off and put it back on straight or is it keyed that it only goes on one way?

It only goes on one why if I remember right. An alignment would likely fix the wheel.
50/50 mix of ATF and Acetone makes a great penetrating oil, much better than PB Blaster or other penetrating oils. It is highly flammable though so I'd highly advise you don't leave it on your brakes if you get some on there. I've ignited the stuff just from friction.

Acetone and ATF, gonna have to try that! Thanks! My Jeep drives straight as an arrow and the tires are wearing perfectly even, I'm not so sure about an alignment. The steering wheel is WAY off, say half a turn. I have a Haynes manual and it tells you how to dis arm the airbag and take off the wheel but doesn't say if it only goes back on one way. The diagrams that are shown makes the steering shaft look the same as if it could go on any which way but it's drawn and not a picture. I have a '69 and '72 Charger and they have a key like a driveshaft that the wheel only goes on one way. Just curious if anyone would know for sure before I tear into it for nothing.

The steering wheel in keyed to only go on one way so the wiring will pass thru it right. The pitman arm is also keyed but it could go on 4 ways. If the steering is hooked up, it's on right. The collar on the drag link just needs to be adjusted to straiten the steering wheel.

Thank you. I like your V8 swap, pretty cool. Thought there would be an easier way. It will need alighment then I supose. I am going to 35's this coming week so I'll take it to the little shop down the street from my house and have them straighten it out once I have my new tires on.
