What did you do to your Cherokee today?
Mine had it but then again it is just an '00. That is not the sleeve for it that came in the Jeep though. Found that in the boneyard. But that is my Dealership and that is where the Jeep was bought by the original owner. It also has the Dealer Sticker on the hatch. Normally I hate them things and immediately remove them. Thing is they are a customer of the auto parts store I work at. Not to mention put up with all my stupid Jeep questions and give me real good pricing on things I do buy from them. For the most part. So I do it out of loyalty.

I spent some time laying in the cleaned up wiring loom branches back down into the engine bay of my 95 XJ engine rebuild. Nice, cleaned up and repaired wiring. Shiny, new engine block. Bolted in the lower flex plate over the tranny bell housing, and installed the starter. Then hooked up the starter connections. I crawled out from under the Cherokee, and stood before the engine bay. I lay the AC compressor down onto the aluminum cradle. And smiled.
Everything was looking goooood. I absent-mindledly spun the idler pulley. Then frowned as I heard it whine softly while spinning.
D***it!

See now you get it. Thank you. When I was trying to figure out how I could play my 160GB Ipod off the factory radio through the factory speakers somebody suggested just buy an aftermarket radio. I mentioned that to a friend and his immediate response was cause you want to keep your Jeep Jeep. I looked at him and said the same thing I just said to you. You get it. Lucked out on that with scoring that Jeep/Mopar radio with the Isimple device I posted awhile back for $40. You have no idea how happy that made me. LOL.
They convert bluetooth or headphone jack to FM and you tune your radio to receive it.Last edited by Bugout4x4; Jun 28, 2018 at 05:18 PM.

Thanks haha I really like the way they keep the body line. Was overthinking about cutting the middle out and keep it look clean vs just keeping it simple. Perfect arm rest and looking over is much more natural compared to laying on top of the weatherstripping when self spotting offroad. Plus 6x9 speakers!
Ohhhhh man got my AC fixed on the cheap! Went to pick it up and they said it was blowing cold which was a total shock because after my compressor seized and imploded on itself a couple years ago i figured the whole inner system would be screwed! Ol boy said the fuse for the compressor was busted so he put a new one in, put some oil and freon in and pulled a vacuum and it was good to go! $117 woooooooo. Them 100 degrees days aint got nothin on me now!

Embarrassing why? That's pretty damn cool that you were able to track that down, Ralph!
Thanks for making me feel better but the truth is the thing is pretty much useless. Unless putting a fresh battery increases the range. Like if you were hanging out somewhere but near your Jeep, sitting in a lawn chair, enjoying a cold beer, and could operate the CD Changer with the remote from there. But I wanted it. LOL.

I have a 96 XJ with remote door locks. I have the remote but you can't use it unless you're close to the vehicle. It uses an IR signal. The later XJ's have RF unlock fobs and you can use them from quite a distance away. Still it is original to the vehicle so I enjoy having it. Used remotes go for $75.00 on ebay. What a rip because they are pretty flimsy.
