Glad you got to experience the park. I'm from Knoxville and wheeled there a bunch. A bit expensive for some, but totally worth it in my eyes. What trails did you run?
Don't remember all of the numbers, but the ones I remember are 16, 26, 27, 22, 83, and that's all the numbers I remember. Took the trails out to 116 and checked out the train and prison, checked out the radar station and did a couple blue trails out there, checked out the windmills, and that's what I remember. Going to AOP next weekend, and Windrock again the beginning of May.
Put the new Core 4x4 T3 arms in today. Set the axle and pinion where I wanted. Now i'm rubbing the track bar bracket for some reason. I adjusted the uppers to work with the pinion angle and the coil is slightly bowed too. Drives just fine, not worried about the slight bowing but the track bar bracket is an issue i'll need to fix.
BY THE POWER OF JEEPSKULL! I HAVE THE POWER... to hopefully resurrect this poor, asploded modur.
This will be part of a much longer project. Depending on how much I'll have to bore it out, it might stay close to stock or it'll be a stroker.
Detonation in #2 killed it. No visible hatching left. #1 kinda faded. Walls don't look bad in 3–6. Of course until I go in there with some measuring tools I won't know for sure. I'm learning as I go with my neighbor being a guide. I'm gonna take my time, do it right. Of course, i should get it magnafluxed to see if it's even salvageable...
I didn't do anything to the Cherokee today but the other half did. Took her DD to the body shop (you don't want to know) and I gave her the silver Jeep to use in the mean time. After a day of driving it, she only has one bad thing to say.... It doesnt get the same gas mileage as her car, which is 40+ mpg. She was also excited that it has a CD player. I never noticed it but I guess CD players are a thing of the past for new cars. Comes with a SD card slot instead. Whenever I get in her car I feel like I'm inside a spaceship. Way too many buttons to push. I get lost. I still prefer the Jeep.

Ever notice that many of the new cars still have the dumb cigarette lighter ports installed in them? They don't even have ash trays...
This really, really, really gets me going.
"The electrical cigar-lighter was invented and patented in the early 1880s by the German inventor Friedrich Wilhelm Schindler"
"In the United States, cigarette lighters started appearing as standard equipment in automobiles in 1925"
Nearly 100 years ago! We still use a massive and inefficient hole in the dash to plug in our electronics. It's like some car companies and electronics manufacturers forgot how out dated and genuinely useless they are.
Apple can change their charging port every year though....
*End of rant*

1. Many (not all) new cars still have them so you can use legacy devices that only have 12V chargers
2. Most new cars come with USB ports. Anywhere between two and 8 of them!
3. Apple changes their stuff every year so people will keep spending more money. It works, so why change the business model? That's the same reason people complain about Lightning charging cables. "They're $40 and they still only last 6 months!" Well, yeah. If I could profit $38/user, twice a year, for 10 years, with millions of users.... Common sense.

I know most new cars have an optional "smokers package" that includes a cigarette lighter and an ash tray. You know what I use in my cigarette lighter port? An adapter that goes to 2 usb ports! Never used it for anything else.

I'm always amazed at how many people drink the Apple kool-aid.
Former Apple fanboy here.
It's awful. They were once makers of a product that did a specific set of tasks (graphic design and video) better for the price, but then they sucked everyone in with the iPod/iPhone world and the walls on that garden started getting taller and taller… now they make $2k facebook machines.
They died in 2011 in the professional market, to me at least. Final Cut X was the first of many nails in the coffin—the first of many flipped birds to the ones who were loyal, getting forgotten.

I would like to make a point in this. I would like to point out that this is my EXACT same complaint about new car manufacturers. lol

Indeed. I was a fanboy once, but that was way back in the 80's when they were doing great things. I can't believe how bad it's gotten with the personal devices.

It's really the same complaint you can make with most branded, cutting-edge electronics to a degree. ...and since new cars are basically rolling infotainment computers, it was bound to follow.

I'm talking about the total re-engineering of a car from the bottom up including engine and trans just to make sure that no part numbers from the previous year will apply any longer. All at much greater costs to themselves and the consumer when it is actually unnecessary.
So I decided to not live in ignorance anymore. Going to do every test under the sun to get a handle of the condition of the 4.0 in my '00. Could probably borrow or rent everything I need but decided to just treat myself more tools. So I have this coming to check oil pressure. Paid $30.
Thinking cause of the 2 gauges. Using the 0 to 100 to get a more precise reading. Also because of the longer hose and the case. But really just because of the gauge.
