What did I do to my XJ today? I soldered two wires to the fuel pump that a rat ate. I ran out of fuel pressure due to lack of fuel since my gauge hasn't been working since I rebuilt it.

Also fixed the leak at the top of the tank that was improperly sealed by Midas when I had them replace the tank a few years ago. The gasket was half on and half in the tank when I removed it.

Can someone take a quick snap shot of their charcoal canister hose routing? I messed with mine a few years back and I'm not sure it's back on there correctly. This is for the 97-01 model Cherokee.

Quote: Nice! How is the ride?
Update: Feels great around town, took it on the freeway and I get a strange shimmy out of the front end right around 55 mph. Goes away at higher speed. Cranked all my LCA bolts as those are the only thing I loosened when I put the coils in. No difference. Also, took it offroad though I still have the old, cracked tires on it. Feels great, works well. Should have new tires within a few days, I’ll get an alignment done, hope that takes care of the freeway shimmy.

Went and put 120mi on the new tires yesterday. Rode smooth and no play in the steering. I only drive 70mph max anyways but cruised at 65mph. They're not as loud as everyone thought they would be, just a small hum.

Not my Cherokee but my Comanche ... ! swapped the wheels & tires on my 2WD MJ. I plan to convert it to 4WD and do a 2" lift. I thought I'd throw these on, take a picture to use for "inspiration" and then take them off. It surprised me that they actually work without rubbing!

245/75R/16's with no lift ...

Took the white one out with a couple of buddies and did the Cleghorn trail. Let's just say we all had more pucker moments then we will like to admit. Its a nasty trail. Good times

Did some selling and trading of various parts. Traded the JKS ACOS for a new set of RE 5.5" coils, sold a set of RC 3" coils and LCA's, and sold my RC 6.5" swaybar disconnects w/upgraded Synergy Suspension ends.

Got the new rear MJ leafs out to get ready for my SOA. Gathered all new control arm bolts for the CAD bracket install. And got a set of front extended stainless brake lines.

Only thing left to do to my MJ now is some flat flares and regear the rear to 4.56. After that, I'm done with it.

We were out there Saturday doing the ADOPT A TRAIL thing on Cleghorn.
First time out in my little four banger, doing the shake down.
I found out that my 231 was not happy. So I had to do the trail on air-downed ATKO's in 2 wheel drive
Oh well it happens?
I did make it through some of that pucker stuff without breaking anything however................... Well my new stereo ant got broken with some new pin stripes oh well................ not to bad I rekon?

Installed my $2.25 (shipped to my door) "rain-x clone" windshield wiper I got in the mail from China. Wanted to see if it was any good to be honest

Actually....decent quality. Time will tell if it holds up. The rubber is not as thick, but more flexible than the Michelin one it replaced (which cost probably $15-$20). Running it in the passenger side so I can still drive if it fails prematurely

Interesting. I had the same issue when I put new coils & springs on, at the exact same speed--actually in a range from about 53-56MPH. Mine improved after a re-balancing, then improved more when I bought new tires. It's still there just slightly, but you would have to point it out to most people.

At this point I wouldn't worry about it--adding height definitely will throw off your alignment.
