Switch to the other blue wire from the new unit.
If he hooks the amp turn on to the KEYED source, it will not kill the battery. if he hooks it to the CONSTANT source it will.

Ignore this whole option for now. Just hook up the Blue/white wire. Its the proper wire from the headunit. bypassing the Headunit amp control wire is a last ditch thing.

And what about the black wire coming out of my unit? Connect it to the Blue wire coming from the dash? (because those two wires are coming from the dash, behind the wire harness, but aren't connected to the harness for some reason.

No, connect the blue wire comming from the car to the "remote" wire on the new stereo unit. It might have a tag on it saying 'REM" not "ANT"

According to the Manual it has a sticker labeled "P.cont" for some strange reason.

Okay so what is the floating yellow wire with the white clip on the end that is marked "amp bus" that originally plugged into the rear of the factory head unit for? That's my only concern with the aftermarket radio install. Is it needed? Or just leave it alone and wire to the harness that I bought that's literally supposed to be FOR jeeps with a factory amp??
