Got the driver's Line-X'ed mud flap on. I am going to end up getting my bumper caps and valance Line-X'ed. Watch. I know it. I like the look to much. The fun really starts this weekend when I try to get the running boards on. Going to be a lot of swearing and tool throwing. I can tell. LOL.
Good choice. Shop left a message this morning that two my 235 A/T3W's are mounted (15x7 Black Rock Tundra wheels). Get them tomorrow and drop off the other two. Still got parts from Rock Auto and Advance Auto coming so no rush.
Yea, still waiting for the lug nuts and new lug studs to come in as well. And next week I will order my new leafs. Hopefully by then is is cool enough to actually go out and do something with the jeep!
Fiddled with it on the side of the road after she stalled out on me on the way home from an errand. First time in 6 years of ownership that she's ever died on me in transit.
Luckily I wasn't but 3 minutes from home when it happened. Found someone to tow me home. I'll figure more out tomorrow.

Yup. Many of us were very fortunate. Some of us not so much. Lee is still without internet according to our last conversation, so he won't be able to get on much. His house is still standing, still has no power. Has cell service, but no data.

They're the grommets for the studs on the bottom of the radiator.
After inspecting them a little closer the original ones were dry-rotted and compressed so, they're outta here.
The cheapest I could find them was from a dealer in Missouri on ebay @ ~$16 each. Glad they don't get replaced often.

Sure it had a 475hp 383ci engine up front but man did I like having such a short first gear. Never towed with it but I am sure it would have helped out. Heck yeah man. That granny low is bad! When I drove for Lowe's, the lumber truck (aka my truck) had an Eaton Fuller 13 speed in it with deep range selector. Wasn't anything that truck wouldn't haul.... although there was plenty that truck SHOULDN'T have hauled
Doing 3" lift on my new to me 2001 XJ sport front is done, just moved to the rear, front bolt for leaf spring is 3/4 out stuck for now I will drop dif. or take rear bolt out whatever helps will post pictures when done before and after good night.
So I started on the factory running boards again. Started with the passenger side this time. The bracket in the front hits a rib in the floor pan underneath making it not go under there and sit like it should IMO. So I massaged it a bit with my baby sledge. Screwed the bracket in the front where the only hole I have for position is. Put the bracket in the back just kinda of hanging there. Bolted up the running board and figured out about where the back bracket should be positioned. Took the running board off. Drilled a couple holes for the back bracket and bolted it in. Drilled one more hole for the front bracket and secured that. Bolted the running board back on. Thinking it is not perfectly level but it is secure. Some of the holes in the brackets are oblong in both directions so I might be able to tweak the position a little. I have to drill a few more holes and secure with some more hardware but here is pretty much what it will look like when done. The jack stand is just in the picture. Not supporting anything.

Look, Ralph... I know you work hard on your Jeep. I know you're invested in this project, and you want it to look good. I know a lot of members here keep praising your patience and saying they admire your Jeep. But I gotta be honest, man.. I do, too. It looks great

And since Neal wanted to ban me for not posting images of my cable install, etc., the other day, I figure I better get some of my projects current state:
As much as I hated to hide the beautiful cables he makes I wanted a nice, clean install so, as you can see, all the cables are pretty well tucked-in.
I had to unbolt the PDC to drill a couple of holes in the inner fender to mount the mega-fuse, but, I believe it worked out really well and I'm very happy with it.
Also installed a new Mopar radiator, fan clutch (stock XJ), water inlet pipe and coolant temp sensor.
Hopefully I can button it up tomorrow and move on to some eye-candy/fun stuff...

Thanks guys. The Driver's side needed a little tweaking. I think the back bracket got a little tweaked somewhere along the way. So I got it pretty good. The jack stand in this picture is holding the rear of the front bracket in place. So I took it off again to drill the rest of the holes and my drill and I pretty much ran out of power at the same time. So hopefully tomorrow I will get it finished.
