OK, you make that rack? Or buy it? I would love that for my spare. Also you have a lock of some kind for the tire? this is for 318 Sixpack.

Even though we have a set of stock 15's with studded tires, I was worried about them getting kinked on the outer edges if they ever caught terrafirma.
I like that wheel and tire setup. What's the specs on back spacing and tire size?

Thanks. She loves it.
The wheels came with the rig. I will try to measure the offset when we swap to the 15's. ATM I would guess 20mm or so (more than stock). I do not know if stock is centerline '0' or what.
We ended up with 235/65/17 tires. They seem to not hit and that is a plus
Those 265's were just asinine large.

That rust encapsulator did not save the door. We will be replacing that one prior to raptor liner.

Agree!
After replacing the 300k mile factory ones (which of course crumbled) I am tempted to pull them and replace the grommets every two years or so.

This might give a better idea of the offset until I get the measuring done.

This might

they look really good. I'm having my 15x8 Ravines swapped over today. The tires are 225 70 15, so I'm concerned they will look even smaller but the tread isngoodnso that's hard to argue with.

Appreciate the info on sizing because I was considering some JK wheels and 225/65 or 235/60

Had the Ravines swapped over and steelies off. Was kind of reserved on this because the tires that came on the Jeep are Toyo Extensa A/S in 225/70 15, and I felt they look too small. After the swap over, I'm ok with it. They seem to fill up the wells a little better and the tires are up to date, and have 80% or better tread.

Waiting for the call from the body shop on the door moldings I dropped off for paint (flat black)

I love those wheels! I had a set for a long time. They look really good on yours.

Today, I finally drove the rig home!

I keep loving this color! Not really sure how far I'm gonna go with it since it's a 2wd, but man that looks nice!

changed out the tie-rod end at the pitman arm. Something made the boot split... that should not have, because it was fairly new with low miles on her since then.
So fixed that part... now trying to track down what caused it as I've personally replaced nearly all of the front end within the last 7500 miles...

So here is something weird about the small leak I am experiencing.
I tightened up the hose clamp already and that did not stop it.
Weather getting colder, at least to me, do not want to rip this apart in my driveway.
This morning was going to reposition the hose and tighten the clamp to try again.
Without pulling it off cause I don't want to drain the coolant.
So I started thinking about where the lower tranny line goes into the radiator.
You have the fitting with the elbow that screws into the fitting on the radiator.
The bigger nut behind the smaller one in the picture below.

So I thought about what if it loosened up a bit? Could anti-freeze come out there?
I have had some stupid ideas and this one ranks right up there.
Well I could not get in there with a wrench but could with some Channel Lock type pliers.
Sure enough I was able to turn it some. So I gently snugged it up.

Anybody ever experience anything like this before?

Yeah, but unfortunately I think you're fighting the inevitable.

I remember after I got my silver one the lower hose started leaking, so I replaced upper and lower, flushed heater core, new t stat and radiator cap.

Buttoned it back up, week later, water pump puked. Started running down the lower hose

Well to be frank with you I just assume that it is at the very least the hose and probably the radiator.
Which is too bad cause both are about 7 1/2 years old. Not to mention the other hoses.
Water pump about 1 1/2 years ago.
But like I said this idea popped into my head.
So see what happens next time I drive her, cause it only seems to leak when there is pressure in the system,
and go from there.
My buddy has a nice, warm, extremely well outfitted garage.
Does work on the side. So basically when this doesn't work will ask him to do it.
Well I will probably end up doing it and throw him some money for letting me do it indoors. LOL.
