Yes. IRO DIY Bumper. One solid piece of 3/16 sheet press bent into shape. Bumper hangs just flush with the rear crossmember and weights at least 60lbs without the mounting brackets.

I found out that I have 90% leak down in cylinder #2. Hopefully I can find time this week to pull the head off and see whats up.

Not the end of the world if it is something worse. These motors are cheap and easy to rebuild. Ill probably get started on pulling the head tonight and finish pulling it tomorrow. Should only take 2 hours to get the head off. Love how simple these Jeeps are to work on.

I just hope that someone has replaced the head before with a Tupy. I forget to check last night when I had the valve cover off. If its a standard 0331, not sure I want to put it back on even if its not cracked.

good luck with the head work and what you find once it's off. I have to agree... while it does seem like it takes a bit more to keep these old puppies going... they are one of the easiest vehicles to work on that I've ever owned. The design of most things on it are just so straight forward it's not even funny.

I agree. Anyone who says they suck to work on, they need to work on some other cars to understand. Like something fwd.

Oh alright, were you aware of any issues before purchase or a surprise? And that Jetta I had was really easy to work on I don't know what you're talking about fwd being a pain. Got to the point I could get the engine and trans out in an hour and a half.

I was aware that it had a mis when I got it. When driving, the mis goes away. So I thought it would be something electrical. Guessed wrong on that one. Should be a cheap fix unless I need a head.

Mid 80s fwd cars suck. Especially the v6 cars. C5 - C7 Corvettes also suck to work on. To get the engine out, the rear subframe and tq tube have to come out first. Its like a 15 hour job.

Just bought my ZJ and today was the first time I drove it to work. So all I really did was put gas in it and clean the winders. It's a start...

Sure. Swing it by when you can. Got an open spot in the garage for it.

Yeah? Which SAE Designation of steel is it? Snarkiness aside, everyone knows what I meant. I was asking the thickness, not the alloying elements.
