I'll give it a shot, I think I may have work that weekend but I'll see what I can do.
Im down there a lot with C.O.R.E. (offroad group out of charlotte) as well as Jeepers United. Both are great groups. You should definitely join Jeepers United
Had a really productive evening. Got the head off. Looks like somebody used stop leak at some point as the holes in the head gasket were stopped up which caused it to blow. Head looks fine but it's off to my machinist to have the new valves and springs put in and shave the head 10 thousandths.
also tries removing the lifters but to no avail. Any tips?
got the new front lift springs in and I'm loving where it sits.
Out with the old in with the new
Removed the stock springs and 2" spacers and Intalled the new RE 4.5"xj springs
The xj springs should net me 3.5"-4" of lift. I havent measured but its a big difference
Good help is hard to find. I was bolting the shock back on, heard him laughing, turn around to see this and he yells " LOOK! I'M IRON MAN!!!" And to think, this is the best man in my wedding.....
The rear will have to wait til Friday to be installed. I need to get new shocks and I'm going to move the track bar. Is it the same process in the rear as in the front?
Got the jeep back on all-4's for the first time since December. 3-link is in, rough alignment is done, and it drives! Getting an alignment done this week, have to finish the bumpers and she will be ready for some shakedown runs.
I'm glad someone got what I was trying to say. And that scene is a good part of my childhood as well.
What movie?

Great! Glad you got it straightened out. I figured it was just clogged.

Changed water pump, lower radiator hose, this weekend looking at front pads rotors, change oil, trans fluid, and transfer case fluid change. Very busy.
