I just snagged a killer deal on 5 JK wheels off craigslist. I now need to buy spacer/adapters and a set of tires for them. I have a 3" lift and have trimmed my stock fender flares as much as possible without changing the looks from the side. I have two questions,
Can I fit 265/70/17 general grabber at2 (31.6"×10.6") tires without rubbing?
Any recommendations on the spacer/adaptors? I would go with spidertrax BUT I see that synergy manufacturing sells an adaptor that is 1.5" wide and not 1.25" like the spidertrax. I would imagine that would better allow for a 265/70/17 tire without LCA rubbing?
What does everyone think??

JK wheels are 7.5" wide
They have a 6.25" backspacing. So, with a 1.25" spidertrax spacer, it will get me back to stock xj wheel backspacing (5").
The synergy 1.5" adaptors will give a 4.75" backspacing.
Anyone have any idea if a 265 (10.7") wide tire will rub on a 7.5"wide 6.0" backspaced wheel?

Most people who do the jk wheel swap go with the jk 255/75/17 (10" wide) tire. But the tire selection for 265/70/17 is ten times greater.
I have used spacers or adapters on most of my vehicles. Be sure to get hub and wheel centric. I have not had a single failure, even with 'Chinese' spacers.
Be sure they are tightened correctly and fully seated.
XJ is 5x4.5" and JK is 5x5" so you will need an adapter/spacer.
