was only 20 miles down a gravel road. so 35 to 40 mph. just kept it in 3rd mostly. trailer weighs 3500 empty. probably had 600 lbs of sheep in it. The overload springs helped in the rear.
Goofed off up in the snow today. When 3 point turns go wrong Hammer down. 3rd 4lo Chipping away at the powdered sugar Spent the day towing eachother out of ditches and drifts.
Well i found the Knock Sensor plug was broken and unplugged, which would explain the lack of power when extremely cold or when running 85 octane. plugged it back in, and taped it up for now until i can find a new pigtail to wire on. She will do a 1 wheel wonder burnout now, and runs much much better.
Snagged all of this tonight for $50. 3/4" socket set with ratchet, breaker and 15" extension. Pittsburgh metric impacts and a napa 3/8 air ratchet.
And this is why factory recovery points sucks! Yanked out a stuck f350 with my work f350, and it sheared off the 3 bolts holding the recovery loop to the frame.

You were using a tow strap and yanking on it weren't you:-P. Ford used to brag that their solid loops were so much stronger than everyone else's too...

Recovery Strap and shackles that are engineered for recovering trackhoes and RTD's.
Someone stole the receiver hitch off my flatbed, so i had no place to hook up to on the rear. After we investigated today, the bolts just sheared right off at the head. Crappy thing about any incident on site, is you have to go blow the breathalizer and suck on the popsicle stick. Passed with flying colors of course, just a minor annoyance. I think the bolts were the factory black painted Grade 3 ****ty bolts. I got the Light Vehicle Shop to start switching them to all Grade 8's now.
New cb stuff came in. Mounted up. Yanked up my carpet....not bad, but will need some love this summer. Stupid csf aluminum radiators, shes leaking about a gallon a week......ill be swapping this out for a autozone special.
