Did you already torque the yoke? I had to do the hub bearings on mine last week. Calls out 175 ft/lbs. My torque wrench only goes up to 150. I used this formula:
To make an extension to use my torque wrench. Ended up making the extension right at 1' and only had to pull ~80 ft/lbs. Cost me 1' of 1" x 3/8" flat bar, a cheap 1/2" drive extension, and 5 minutes with the welder.

Yeah brought one home from work. Good info though.

That's sweet! Especially if you "need it now"!

So much for eyeballing...front and rear bought on amazon for $588
Ahhhh yeah. You'll have to let me know how you like them when you get them installed. Still deciding on lockers for my build. Tough to beat that price for both lockers.

Truth be told, I really want selectables, but that's a tall pole, and besides, I can't see spending that coin on "stock" axles...I'll wait for that when I upgrade to wontons, LOL
I did my due diligence though, weighed the pros and cons, and ultimately ended up with the Spartans...the pins are beefier than others, have a groove to ease install, and have a slightly higher spring rate from what I've read...and reviews were mostly positive, was hard pressed to find legit bad reviews. All I know is the Hammers is gonna be FUN now, LOL

Looking back now I wish I would've locked the front instead of just limited slip. I guess next time some major differential work needs done and I have a good bit of coin I'll swap one in. Lockers definitely make a huge difference. I can walk up trails I used to struggle on.

RIP stock shafts. and it will be worth every second. My jeep should be together by KOH. Minus built axles.
Have another buddy going to look at an XJ tomorrow, hopefully adding another cherokee to the crew. Planning a last chance canyon run soon. I'll keep you posted.
