From what I'm reading a lot are not listening to the later part of your post.

For the majority of people its a good idea to run the front when on the roadways. I have no idea of where the insurance company would stand in case of an accident if it were removed as all came equipped with a front the rear was an option.

Its all good until you have to swerve to miss having an accident, next thing you know people are wanting to know how much for your tires.

Well those are some nice tares.

My $.02. HD coils and rear leafs with some nice shocks, probably less noticeable sans swaybars, but still don't want to be over 35 or 40 mph in a lifted Jeep and have to swerve hard to avoid say another vehicle or a deer possibly.

I have IRO 6.5 lift with Bilsteins too. Removed the swaybar for about a month and it wasn't too bad driving around the city and such.

then a Ford F350 pulled out in front of me one day, I slammed on the brakes and in the process of stopping had 4-foot movements either way. F-that crap.

Put the sway bar back on and did a brake check just to see the difference. With the swaybar it just stuffed the nose straight down and never wandered an inch.

Peace of mind .... plus JK Disco's all the way.

The 2 minutes its takes to disconnect the swaybar is well worth it.

Just like with weapons, the best safety is the gray matter between the ears.

No sb front or back on mine. It did really help off roading when I took it off I can tell a small difference on highway but my jeep is for off-roading and cruising so it hardly sees 65. But I do have new coils and they may help

Find a side street, get it up to 45mph then hammer the brakes all the way to the floor fast.

What does it do?

It stopped lol I have had this thing good 6 months I have locked it down several times trust me. I'm not saying there is no change but in my jeep it was minimal.

Yeaaaaah I haven't been running sway bars in forever. Adapt your driving style to the way the jeep handles and you'll be fine. But this, of course, is all dependent on how smart someone is. know your stopping distance is drastically increased and fast maneuvers are a no-no. I don't think my jeep handles much better with the sway bar TBH which is why I dont use one. It's a bear to drive down the highway either way. I typically don't let anyone drive it if there is highway driving involved. Too many people used to tight rack and pinion steering and highly responsive brakes lol.

Mine will almost throw me through the windshield. The brakes are that good it will stop on a dime. Sad part is 1/2 of the braking system is off of a Ford. LOL
Yes, it tracks straight. Every Jeep is different so don't go remove the sway bar and expect to get the same results you may read here.

Another reason a lot are goin without I would think, is the fact that a lot of steerin upgrades require relocation brackets for the sway bar

A lot of people believe it's gonna burst into flames as soon as you disconnect but chances r if u rolled your sweet xj it was because u were driving to fast n a boxxy suv and would have rolled it with or without a sway bar just my 2 cents
