Sway Bar Delete...
Removed the rear sway bar when I first got my XJ. The front needed bushings bad so since
I had to take it off anyway, I decided to wheel it a lttle to see how it did.
Pros:
It is like night and day on the trails. Actually was a gear higher on the same trails than bfore the delete. It is tht much smoother and the suspension works so much better.
The knocking noise is gone when I hit a bump (the bushings were shot.)
Seems like a lot better traction. We are talking bone stock without a lift, tars, or lockers. I'm on wore out all terrains tires.
Cons:
It rolls. When you go around a curve, be prepared to feel like you are goina turn over. This is probably a lot worse due to my coils being 19 yrs old.
Goin down a steep hill, all the weight is on the front and you can feel it. But again, made worse by the wore out front springs.
Bottom line if you have never disconnected the front sway bar with a rear sway bar delete, you have to try it off road but be very careful on road. If you needed to swerve to miss something at higher speeds, it could cause loss of control.

Yeah when I get the lift there will deffinitly be discos on it but, at $150 to $200 ill just go swayless until then. Not on the road that much and only on country roads then. Also never get very fast and have deleted sway bars on the SXS for a long time. Just couldn't believe how much of a difference it made on the Jeep.

I bought my Jeep with the front sway bar off 3 years ago. Never put it back on since the steering box brace is in the way.
Sure, it drives differently with it off but it's not a race car- don't drive it like one.

When I put my complete Zone lift on I took the rear off. The front came off later. It's my daily driver with frequent Interstate driving. I couldn't be happier. Mine doesn't roll like others state.

Agree with u guys delete the sway bar can be danger, I had my both front and rear delete for about 5+ years now never had a plm as long u drive carefully and be smart, don't drive like u are in Limbo or Ferrari. My jeep 5.5 lifted with 35s and did pull 2 atvs with 14 foot long trailer it was kind of scare to ride i can tell my jeep on rear swing drift when I drive stright...

I've had both of mine gone... I'm a delivery driver and daily hit 90 mph on interstates. Even when swerving to miss something, I don't seem to have a problem. It's barely worse than stock suspension with sway bars, and now I'm lifted 4.5" with none. Maybe it just depends on the jeep? or the suspension? I'm not sure.

Not so much a problem with the high speed driving as it is IF you have a come down on the brakes moment. Even that may not deter one from disconnecting it or even be a problem. Tell you what though. Pulling a trailer like the one in the pic with the ATVs even at lower speeds can be a trip in certain situations. Once was enough for me. Won't tow without it connected. Front only.

Iron rock lift coils and bilstein 5100s are my sway bar substitute, I ran the SB for about 2 months after the lift then took it off, I could barely feel a difference still handles fine. Take the corners a little slower but that's expected, most of the no sway bar horror stories come from people running coil spacers and white bodies.
