Removed fender flares today. What yall think ?? And what us the best tool and best way to cut the fenders so it dont look like ****<br/>

 

Angle grinder or saw saw, make sure you cut and fold the rear! Here my stock xj with trimmed fenders.

 

Do you want to run aftermarket fender flares later on?If so wait to cut it tell then most want you to cut what they say.

Angle grinder, cut like so, then pound over with a mini-sledge. Notice the little green dots. Those are on the spot welds for the pinch seam. Do not cut the spot welds!

 

Here is mine that are trimmed without flares, I don't run them either.

One more question the front plastic inner fender do I trim it and leave it or take it out?

 

i left mine out. Some people like to stuff a pool noodle in there cause a lot of water and mud is thrown at the door hinges causing rust. Lol

 

Not sure what this question is here. As far as the other goes, I trimmed the inner liner at first and ended up removing it after. I'll do the pool noodle trick. Eventually.

 

sorry I meant my question was how to know where the spot welds are so I don't cut them when I go to cut and tuck my genders

 

I cut mine just under the pinch seam for the rear cut and fold. Hammering them up pulls them up too so take that into consideration if you don't want the slits to be easily visible. For the front I traced the curve with the grinder and just kept grinding until it came off. I trimmed the inner fender liner and will eventually zip tie the low hanging parts to the fender.

 

Kinda hard to describe over the Internet but you'll see when you pull the fender off. There's little dimples in the fender that are where the spot welds are.
