Default SAFETY UPDATE!!

Well see if these change night driving

Side-by-side comparison

Well last night driving home from the Mall of America started out pretty dangerous!
Not because it was raining and not because of an accident, but due to these headlight housings I swapped in.

Even with my LED headlight upgrade, which is insanely bright, I could not see more than 2' in front of me! - It was like the lights weren't even on!

I managed to make it approximately 11 miles to a nearby Super America, insane I know, but I was trying to make it to someplace lit up and at 11:00 pm on a Saturday not much around.

Luckily I had recently changed these out and I happen to be a little bit lazy and had not removed the other set of headlight housings from Dat Jeep!

So I swapped back this set and voila! I have night vision, sort of.

So moral of my story: If you swap headlight housings test them out before going on a trip, or at least keep the old set with you(like I did).

End rant.

Thanks for the info; like what you have done to your rig.

Default Passenger Side rear quarter panel hole repair

Hole size is approximately 15" x 4-1/2"
Obviously quite a bit of water was getting in, which caused my electrical corrosion issue I corrected earlier.

Not the prettiest job, but functional.

I still need to repair the drivers side, but that side is a bit more complex

Again not the prettiest repair, but functional.

Once it gets warmer I will paint the sheet metal, from the side its not really noticeable.

Nice work on the quarter panel. That is an area I need to get taken care of on my camper. Need to get it all water proof. I also need to get my fender and Bushwacker flares closed off water has been getting back in that area probably since the previous owner put those flares on. I would have never gone with after market flares. I would rather make them out of tubing and sheet metal.

Thanks
I just went with the simple fix.

Old cable was in need of replacement.

New cable is crimped and heat shrinked on both ends.
Now I only have 2 more cables left that need to be replaced/upgraded.

New mesh from the headlight guards.

All screwed tight.

Just need some paint and then can be reinstalled.

Solution:

Default 2nd Relay Fuse Box Installation

(any lights, winch, etc)

Next up I get to trace some wiring gremlins I have been having
Well I finally got around to installing my 2nd fuse relay box:

I removed my coolant overflow reservoir to make room for the 2nd fuse box bracket.
I mounted it to the original fuse box bracket.

Don't worry I haven't forgotten about the coolant overflow reservoir - aftermarket!

So what are you going to do about the coolant overflow?

Default Radiator Overflow Reservoir

I purchased this aftermarket aluminum overflow reservoir to replace the OEM tank I removed.

I have it mounted in the front corner by the battery.
