Default Aux LED Backup Light Amp Draw

I'm installing a Rigid Dually style LED pod light as a backup light. It draws about 2.5 amps. Can I just pigtail it onto one of the existing backup light's wiring? Will the factory wiring handle the increased amp draw? I could run power direct from the battery and use the factory backup light wiring to trigger a relay, but of course this would be a more involved project than just taking power from the factory wiring.

Thanks.

EDIT: Revised current draw for this light is 1.34 amps.

If the LED draw is 1.34 then it's a nonissue, the 1156 draws 2.1 amps.

It's a dually copy, hence the lower current draw. Still a good, bright light.

Thanks.

Yep, works fine. I left the light on for awhile and no wiring or connectors heated up.

Mounted the backup light under the tire carrier latch on the bumper.

It is about 1000 times better than the stock lights for backup visibility and will provide illumination for after dark camp setup.

On ebay, for $39, from seller ttautobodyparts. I've purchased several LED products from them, including my front LED light bar.
