Hello everyone,

I have a very frustrating situation. I have taken my 1998 Cherokee to two different shops and they haven't been able to diagnose the problem.

This is what is happening: I drive 15 miles to work using the freeway every day. When I get off the freeway, the 'check engine light' comes on and the truck seems to either a) lose power b) transmission slips.

It feels like both are going on at the same time. After I let the Jeep sit for awhile the symptoms go away. Then the same thing happens after I get home.

Could it be the relay from the computer to the transmission ?? Terminal ends to some of the cables ??

I live in the Los Angeles area so I don't think weather can be considered.

Also, if anyone knows of a Cherokee 'specialist' in the area that might be able to help me, I would appreciate the referral.
