Default Correct firing order

Still new to the whole jeep thing, been working lots and finally went out to figure out my start up problem. I went through everything and I checked the firing order 5 times and it matched up. Im figuring that I was given the wrong firing order. I have from back to front - 153624.

It wants to start, but is having troubles doing so. It had the famous 3-5 second start before i bought it. But it doesnt catch now. New rotor wires plugs etc.

Just checking to see what order you guys have from back to front cause im sure I was given the wrong order now as I dont see what else could cause this.

Thanks

That is the right firing order, but cyl number 1 is on the front of the engine and not the back.

Thanks

I know cyl 1 is on the front and 6 is the back. So is it 153624 starting from the front going to the back, I got the jeep with 5 wires gone so Im guessing on this one sorry if its a pretty stupid question.

from the cap to cyl i match 1 & 6, 5& 5, 3&4, 6&3, 2& 2, 4&1

is that correct.

I don't understand what you are asking, is the distributor marked for cyl 1? you match 1 with 1, 2 with 2, 3 with 3 and so on...hence the "firing order."

if some one has messed with the dis then #1 my not be in the spot shown in the diagram

you need to verify were the rotor is pointing at top dead center

Hey guys I was just out and it is for sure correct.

Had someone turn the ignition for me and as I was watching I noticed a mist of something from a large cylinder that has a small hose connected to the rad hose. After this I had a strong odour of fuel. It turns but it wont start. Did what someone here suggested and its all good. It has around 3 turns then a purge noise, then 3 turns and a purge if I continue to hold the ignition on. Would it be the injectors?

Thanks

or fuel pressure? Anyone have any idea what the scoop might be? I apologize for all the questions but I am really stumped. the firing order is right, but Ive got what seems to be a purge when I try to start. It turns but doesnt start up.

Is there a way to check the fuel pressure with general supplys or is there a special tool I will need to get?

Thanks everyone, any help is very appreciated.
