Ok so my question is about the rear cut and fold. My lower qp's are rusted so can I just cut em off and make shure its sealed good on the inside? I still wanna run my jrc upper quarter armor though cause I ordered them with the taillight buckets.

Not sure what to do here... need your guys opinions. If I trim more, there's stuff behind the body that will be exposed and look ugly, but it looks weird not having the body trimmed to the flare...
If I trim to the flare I'm thinking I could weld sheet metal to cover up the voids behind the body. What do you guys think?
Also gonna trim bumper cap to line up with whatever option I go with.

heres a few pics of the cut job on my heep....i use the outside of the stock flares as the template, marked them and cut....fronts are simple and pretty much the basic cut everyone does, rears were cut back into the wheelwell 3 inches and filled with a 4inch by about 4.5ft piece of 16 gauge sheet metal, tacked to the quarter until completely tacked solid all the way around, inside is stitch welded, i am going to comp cut the rears and the front under the marker lights when i get some new bumpers, sorry i dont have any pics of it welded before paint and body work but ill post what i got, enjoy...
before....right after lift was installed

cut

body work

primer

rhino line the inner wheel wells, if you look close you can see the weld seem where the added sheet metal and wheel well meet

ready for paint

and a few right after it was finished
