2000xj 130k miles
3.5"RE aal lift
32X11.5 bfgat
ome shocks

I like my lift. however my aal are sagging after 3+ years. I trimmed my fenders but would still like a little more clearance. would adding shackles or blocks ruin my driveline angle or would i be ok? I am looking to add coil spacers in the front too? any advice as far as gettin a little more clearance without messing up the xj or braking the bank? thanks

Shackles will make your leaves sag even worse, but you will get a bit of lift. But shackles do naturally rotate your axle to give a better driveline angle.

a better angle huh? that's good i guess. more sag for a little lift, i could live with that. so better go with shackles rather than blocks?

Plus shackles increase flex and you can use a leave with less arch.

my leaf springs are straight.thinking about a block to help until i can afford new springs.i have read, though, that new springs give too stiff of a ride.will blocks help the ride, and will new springs make the ride too stiff?

Go with shackles instead of blocks. Shackles can improve your suspension while blocks can potentially be harmful.

New springs are a good thing. Add-a-leaf (AAL) lifts give you a stiff ride and generally don't last long. If you can't do springs for some reason, shackles are better than blocks.
