Hi dave, you replied to my post a few days ago about putting an engine from a 96 into a 2001. As long as I swap out the distributor and make the brackets for the coil rail, I should be able to keep the stock wiring on the 2001, correct?

Would you happen to know if the 4 liter and the 4.7 liter are different front driveshafts? Mine is a 4 liter, but I found a front drive shaft from a 4.7 liter, not sur eif it will fit?

Greetings- I just saw an answer you gave concerning an air vent that only blows up towards the windshield (defrost).
Lst weekend I changed out the Air Temp Console on my cherokee xj- when it came to snapping off the center clips, one broke, and a spring and a disc with some etching- but basically flat came out the back- I ended up using the back from the old unit when changing them out- and now the air direction wont work. I really do not think it is the vacuum hoses, but I will check this coming weekend.
I am a single parent and work all week and can only get out there this weekend, and want to be armed with knowledge when I do go out there. I have figured out the vacuum line, where the correct fuses could be.

I noticed you said the console itself could be the issue- which is the way I lean.
I wonder if you might be able to tell me what I may have done wrong, and if I might repair it without much fuss.

Thank you so much- sorry if I am being a bother.
