Can you put the bullet proof AW4 in a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo?
Transmission is going and if I need to replace it I would rather put something better in it.

I remember seeing a few threads on doing the swap but unless you already have the AW4 you would be better off rebuilding the 42RE you have. A competent transmission builder can build the 42RE to be just as good or better than the AW4.
