In total I spent under $100.
Used Fan (pick-n-pull) $35
Used Volvo relay (pick-n-pull) $8
In hose 38mm sensor housing China made (ebay) $6
Temp Switch, wire & Connector (BMW dealer) $40
14mm 1.5 tap USA made (ebay) $5
50amp fuse (had it laying around) free
30/40 amp relay (had it laying around) free
Here are a couple pics, one of the in hose housing and one of the clearances. The clearances are actually about 1" but the photo looks narrower (not sure why).

You wouldn't happen to have the part numbers for this would you?
It seems lately unless you already know those, most parts guys are clueless about anything.

Old fart with a wrench
This whole fan install write-up should be in the How-To section. Maybe you could get a moderator to move it.

I also used the plug, BMW Part # 61131378410
Found the Connector and wires too, these are dealer prices.
61131378412 Angled Connector $1.18
61130007445 .2-0.5mm Small Wire $1.97 Ea (need 2)
61130007446 0.75mm Big Wire $2.07 Ea
This was used with an ebay inline radiator hose housing. I drilled it out for the proper thread for the sensor.

I didn't, but if the engine is warm the Efan will be on since the jeeps tend to run around 210 the low side will run most of the time and if it gets over 210 the high side kicks on and really cools it down.
My AC runs cold and the temp gauge is always a little over 200 on my jeep. I have not heard the high side kick on but once or twice on really hot days.
