Default 6" lift 99 grand Cherokee

Hi guys I just got my first jeep it's a 99 Jeep grand Cherokee Laredo L6 4.0 it's all stock and I would like to know if I can put a 6 inch lift on without having to put new drivelines on as well

At 6" you will basically need new everything. New driveshafts, shocks, SYE, Tcase drop, steering, longarms, sway bar links, and a whole slough of other things.


Why do you want 6" of lift? Theres no reason its necessary unless youre running 37"+ tires. And you can go just about anywhere on a 4" lift and 35" tires.

With a grand you can use the xj lift chart but move everything down 2 inches.Anything past a 4 inch lift you will need a sye kit and a long list of parts.

you dont need to knock off 2", its only 1/2-1" really. Im running RE XJ 4.5" springs and got 4" out of them with a heavy bumper.

yeah, but 4.5 RE springs on an xj gets you about 5.5 every time. always more than they list.
