5.2L to mercedes manual transmission , been done before?
Hi all, I've got a ZJ 5.2l with a very moody automatic tranny , rebuilt it more than 4 times , would really like to swap in a Mercedes manual transmission at this point, anyone ever done this before? let me know if you have.
thanks
thanks

You would be much better off using a manual transmission that came behind a magnum engine. Like an AX15, NV3500, or NV4500, they will bolt right up.

Thanks for the advise but the ax15, NV3500 and the NV4500 arent available over here in Libya, what we do have and cheap are Merc manual and automatic transmissions, but i have been thinking about cutting rhe bellhousing off of the A500 and mating it to a 4L60E or maybe even another jeep automatic tranny i would need to make a circuular retainer that bolts to the oil pump get the idea? Its probably been done somewhere but if not then Ill give it a try anyway. Got a couple of spare tranny bodies i can practice on and a spare 5.2l engine .
