WA580 Mercedes transmission question.
Hello all. I have a 2006 grand Cherokee 3.7L 4X4. There is no dipstick so I know it is the WA580 transmission. My question is do all 2006 3.7L 4 x 4s use this transmission? I have sourced a used transmission from another 2006 3.7L but I don’t want it shipped to me without confirming that it too must be the WA580. Thanks for your help!

I don't know 100% but that was my impression that the WA came with the v6's and the 545RFE came with the V8's.
Is the shipper able to confirm? Or can they send pictures? I'm sure there is a visual difference or some markings.

Trans shops always wanna rebuild, and it's always expensive..
Do a lil research on the subject, check out the WK forum on Jeepforum.. and you'll find the fix.
My daughters 06 had the shutter at 80K miles.. fixed it myself for a couple hundred. There's a solenoid in the valve body that goes bad..
