Default Speaker Replacement Questions

Read online that 6-1/2 speakers would have trouble fitting into the front speaker slots on an 01' Laredo. Is this true? Has anyone had success with this size?

Its stock a 5.25" speaker in the Door.

You can fit a 6.5", as long as it is not too tall, or too deep, there is not much more space physically behind the grill or before the window rolled down. you will use 2 screws instead of 4, and use the stock ones from the XJ, not the ones from the speaker box.

You must have a WJ Grand Cherokee if you have an 01 Laredo. I hope you haven't been reading about XJ fitment thinking that Cherokees and Grand Cherokees are the same thing.

I can't answer your question; I don't know about WJ speaker fitment.

Is it an XJ or a WJ? I didn't think they made a Laredo trim XJ after '92....not sure what size speakers the WJ has
