Electronics upgrade
New owner of a 2016 jeep Cherokee sport front wheel drive. Wanting to see if automatic headlights can be installed also can be you connect 5.0 be upgraded to the 8.4 screen Well I need to fabricate a wiring harness or can you buy them already pre-manufactured. Or is it a simple plug-and-play I know Dodge and Rams specifically have extra harnesses who's plugs are unused that other factory installed stuff can be put in plug-and-play are these jeeps the same way
....?
You might need to go to a Dodge dealership or get on a Dodge forum, and ask how to convert or adapt to a 2016 Jeep platform.
Oh, and punctuation, grammar etc would help tons to.. Not really understanding what your asking for. I have kids so I can get the gist of it, but Man...

There ya go. MUCH better.
But what does this mean?
"also can be you connect 5.0 be upgraded to the 8.4 screen Well I need to fabricate a wiring harness or can you buy them already pre-manufactured"
Are you asking about if your 2016 Jeep has a harness for a viewing screen of some sort?
It 'may' have it built in. But what I've seen, are people who think a certain "option" is too expensive and they think they can cheap out and find it somewhere else (salvage yard) at a later date. Only to find out that they need to go back to the dealer and pay $$$ to have their ECU or controller re-flashed or upgraded for that particular option. That in itself could be several hundred dollars.
You gotta remember that our Government took over the auto industry a while ago and they're going to screw you out of any $$ they can..
Here, Googled it.
"2016 Cherokee models with the 8.4-inch Uconnect screen get a new Drag and Drop menu bar, Do Not Disturb mode, and Siri Eyes Free compatibility".
So, it looks like yours SHOULD have it, but if you purchased it USED, and it didn't have that option, ask one of the mechanics in the dealership if it can be added, and how hard it is to adapt. (by reading it, it looks like it's 'looped' in with a number of other electronic options..)

I " cheap out". Because well I dont need all rhe other crap that comes with the packages that jeep and or chrysler put all in with just the few options that I will actually want and use.
I am able to do this on my ram all day long but I have never owned a jeep.
Look at it this way it is like an al-a-carte type situation.
So, you dont have to be a dick about it. Way to represent the forum

I have the uconnect 5.0 ra2 radio, i want to swap it for the 8.4 ra3 radio. Aside from the bezel and radio, where can I find a harness to make it work and what other parts will I require.
