Are you putting this in your wj or another jeep? If you can you could get the clips out of a wj for the opposite side and then figure out what the wires are for on your harness and then splice the proper clips on

I also have 2 x 2-pin connectors around the motor for what I think is the back rest and lumbar motors

None of that matches up to any wiring diagrams I have seen. Is there a secondary harness that I am missing?

I havnt had a chance to check my seats yet but it sounds like your missing the main harness (secondary as u stated)... did you get the seat tracks with it? because the main harness would be connect to this is multiple places, (connectors and wire clips) so if you don't have the tracks, you probably don't have the main harness, which you wouldn't really need anyway, you could pop the covers off and see if you have pads and then just follow the wires off so you know what is what, that's what I did,

I already got the pin out and every thing and I know how im going to wire them its just that ive heard that there is not "thermistor" in the seat to control the heat temp and that it is controlled by the PCI, I know that it is controlled by the PCI but just don't know if it would over heat if it was just wired up via relay, switch ect. im probably going to wire them up and see what happens, this is how im going to do it if anyone is curious,

Hopefully I don't burn up, I will let you know how I make out, I have to finishing plating up the unibody and undercoating the underneath and inside so itll be a little bit

I wonder if you could wire in thermostats from a "Brand X" car. For example, 1980s-vintage Saab 900s had automatic heated seats with no external controls. The heaters were turned on and off and regulated by the thermostat in the seat.

yea, im not 100% sure on how these work, that's my issue, and I cant seem to find a good wiring diagram, or at least a complete one, theres gotta be a thermostat of somesort because even if the pci controls the on/off ascept of it, its still gotta know where its too hot or cold, it cant just guess, because a -10 degree day will take them longer to heat up then a 20 degree day for example, im most likely going to just wire them up and keep a temp gun on them and if they start to get way to hot will just shut it off and go a different route

another jeep, Into an XJ, and yea ive been trying to find a complete diagram, but if the PCI bus controls the heat (like I was told multiple times) then that's an issue because an XJ doesn't have that set up, so that's where my issue lies, will the heated seat pad if wired like an aftermarket heater (diagram above) will it know to shut off or just get so hot it burns out/catches on fire

Sorry,
Got busy there for a bit

They are definitely WJ seats - I actually hooked the motors up to a simple 12v battery charger to position the seats, and I just threw them in the Jeep.
My driver's seat was so broken I could barely drive the damn thing.

I am 100% missing a harness though. I was going to hack up the original connectors, but I am opting to wait until it warms up for a few days so I can rummage around the junk yard for the right harness.

Still indecisive if I want to use the built-in seat heaters or go with an aftermarket kit, but once I get the harness (hopefully this weekend), I will see how the heated elements wire up and could either use a relay, straight to 12v (I have a large 12v run for my audio system right under the rear bench seat), or just go with an aftermarket kit.

They WJ seats are soooo comfy though!
