I'm trying to install a viper alarm with keyless entry on my 90 xj w/ factory keyless entry. Someone please help. I don't know how to wire it up.

Will need the manufacturers instructions and the wiring diagram or pinout diagram of the XJ wire harness. Here is a start for wire ID. http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/...tail/1150.html

The best option would honestly be for a pro to install it so you don't accidentally splice the wrong wires and create a short.

I figured it out, thanks. I actually use install alarms for a living many year ago. The problem was the information that I was pulling up on all these websites wasn't clear. They kept saying that if I had the factory keyless entry, that I had to tag the the relays in the passage kick panel, which wasn't true. I was also getting conflictin information about type A and type C door locks. They are type C, which are reverse polarity. I just had to cut to wires and it'd the 5 wire setup. Pretty simple.

Glad you figured it out. Didn't realize you were experienced, the first post gave the impression of having none.

Yeah I could see that, lol. I was at a low point and pretty desperate. It sounds like I don't have the slightest clue what I was doing.
