That's how I got towards the end. With the new rear end in mine I just threw some spray paint on poorly and I'll try to slap it in tomorrow and hope the shaft doesn't ram too deep if you know what I'm saying...

How are you going to bend the flares to contour with the body? I'm debating trying to make my own as well.

The body isn't flat, it has a curve to it. How do you plan on curving the fender armor?

Picked up a set of 97+ doors with manual crank windows and manual locks.

Along with a header panel.

And 97+ wiper arms.

And floor mats in tan.

Sometime probably in couple of weeks. I'll be trading the old fenders for another set of 97+ doors with manual cranks (for spare parts) and probably half doors.

Holy grinding disc hell. I hate doing that much cutting with a grinder.

Looking good. Where did you find two sets of manual windows for a 97+? I searched for quite a while to find the set I have at a decent price.

I'm interested to see how the fenders come out. I've wanted to build some for mine for some time.

Half doors...YES!

Before I can put the doors on, I have to repair the cracked welds on the hinges...

So I outlined where the paint need to be removed and then proceed to remove the paint with a disc sander.

I ll prob burn them in tomorrow.

I ll do the door-less mod at the same time as well.

Just gotta google up how to do it.

Also on the header panel. There's 3 tiny hair line cracks on the top. Any ideas how I can repair them?

Just cut the bottom ear off the door side of the hinge. Also, have you seen the hooligan offroad door braces?

On the header panel If I was to repair it I would start on inside with a grinder clean a good section at the crack and use fiber glass with a piece of mat . Let it set up and then with a die grinder or what ever clean the outside (Good side) clean the crack or cracks like a v same as you would to weld steel and place masking tape on edge to make like a dam and apply just the resin with out the mat let harden the sand and finish !

Put the drivers door and fender on temporarily just to see what it looks like
