Default 88 comanche will only shift manually

88 comanche 4.0 4wd when I put it in drive it will not shift on it's own , it seems to start out in 2nd or third??, If I manually pull it to the 1-2 position it shifts into first then 2nd and when put in the 3 position and D it appears to go into each gear. it sat for 6 months prior yesterday and seemed fine when last drove 6 months ago. Anyway, I have checked all grounds, the one by the dipstick, unplugged all connectors and checked fuses, tried a different tps ect ect.........the tcm fuses is good and I have power and all grounds to tcm as i unplugged it and checked them. i pretty much followed cruise54's write up and still won't shift on it's own.....now the od thing is according to wiring diagram when the prndl switch is in the "d" position i should have power to tcm on c8 pin at tcm connector and then in the 1-2 position power on c9 pin at connector and i do however no power at c8 when in d but if i move the shifter to 3 then i do have power on c8 no sure if this is a diagram error or an issue in the prndl switch......when i opened up the tcm this afternoon i could see green corossion on a small resistor going into the circuit board.........I don't wanna throw parts at this I want to fix the issue, any ideas?? Bad tcm? Am I missing anything? I'd like to message cruiser 54 but i'm to new a member and don't have pm access yet

87 to 90 4.0.
Junkyard is your best bet unless someone here has one to sell.

I just posted this early this morning on here, Jeep Forum, NAXJA, and Comanche Club.
