1988 Jeep MJ extreme wiring issue
Alright so I got this Jeep for free that had been sitting, windows down, for 9 years. After a little bit of work, I got the engine to run. It’s a 1988 4wd Jeep Comanche with a 1992 4.0L i6 with the BA 10/5 trans.
The issues with the wiring I’m having are as follows:
No courtesy or dome lights
Temp and fuel gauge don’t work, volt gauge I hard wired in, and oil pressure gauge works (speedo is mechanical)
No information lights at all (check engine, check brakes) and I know this thing should have at least some warning lights lol
No voltage coming from dome fuse
No voltage coming from gauge fuse
Chime buzzer does not work unless I shove the key switch in, it seems the switch is starting to pop out of the column
If it helps, I noticed the other day when it was raining that water got into the cab, near the renix computer. With this moisture, the pickup stopped running and refused to fire (it seemed like injectors weren’t working) but now that it’s dry, it runs.
Does anybody have any ideas on what to check? I couldn’t really find any documentation online.
Please ask any questions you need.
Thanks

pictures would be great. but if it was left like that there is a great possibility that a connection is corroded, broken, or the electronic component failed. Need to see if some animal got in and chewed or made a home. It needs to be dried completely. Die electric grease is your friend.
