Troubleshooting EVAP codes
Hello I have a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7. and I am having EVAP codes show up they are p0455 and p0442. I have a smoke machine I hooked it up I ran it the LDP had smoke coming out of it so my mechanic said I needed a new one so I caught one tested it again. Same thing smoke coming out the brand new one. Now the code p0442 says pending not sure if it has something to do with me always clearing the light when it comes on. But I'm at a loss I change the canister purge valve also and the gas cap within the last 3-6 months. If anyone has any clue to what it could be and why the LDP had smoke coming out when I try to do the test. I really would like to solve this as soon as possible as I am due for inspection in August.
