I'm confused about the towing ability of my 2016 TH (V-6). I have all the HD coolers, etc. but not the higher ratio differential. SOme say I can ONLY tow 2000 pounds, others say I can tow the max of 4500 as long as I'm not doing a lot of long uphill mountain road pulling. Does the rear differantial gearing really matter that much (2500 pounds worth) even when I have all the other HD towing components?

 

What does your Door Tag Say

 

It says GVWR 5500.

 

Take a picture of the door tag,Whatever that tag says for towing capacity is all you can legally tow no matter what you add to the jeep.That sticker is what the D.O.T. goes by.
