Hey guys. Proud new owner of Latitude Plus. My first new. It had 11 miles on it the first time I test drove it. 30 after the second test drive when I drove it off. Wondering if anyone uses anything to protect the dash, leather, etc and what you use. I usually take care of my cars but this being my first new, I am finding myself being extra careful with it. Normally I will take my vehicles to get run through the wash with the protectant to take care of the outside, then vacuum and spray and wipe it down on the inside. Just wondering if there was anything in particular you guys use on yours to protect the inside. Also, anything to spray (or whatever) to keep that uconnect screen from being such a fingerprint magnet? After having it for only 24 hours I started noticing that and got a little bottle of hand sanitizer to keep near the gear shift to cut down on that, hopefully, some.
Anyways, will be good getting to know you guys and hopefully I'll just be talking about maintenance, keep up and mods for a while at least.
Windshield sunshield (fabric/wire that flip-folds into circles) to keep direct sun off leather dash.
Check out eBay item number: 112233160996 for roof rack that doesn't make your car look like it rolled over on a $300 Lego set
"Jeep Cherokee 2014 - 2019 Top Roof Rack Luggage Aluminum Rail Cross Bar" - it fits the 2020 (be sure to follow the instructions - front rails are inches further apart)

Yeah! Those look good. I'm trying to figure out if the $51 price is for one roof bar or two. It has the option to buy 1, 2, 3, etc. at the top, but it says in the description that two pcs come in one package. Don't know if that means two complete roof bars or that one roof bar consists of two pieces that go together. Looks like I'll be ordering that for sure. I have one of the sun shields already so that's good. Right now I got cloth floor mats that I would like to eventually replace with rubber with the Jeep emblem, as long as I can find ones that screw down like these do.

Thanx for posting those ebay bars and clarifying that the $51 bucks is for two bars. I was a bit confused as well. How does the color match up with the silver on our Cherokees?
It matches the chrome bars perfectly (mine is an Overland) - shiny where shiny is called for, brushed where it should be. Dealer is jealous.
... notice that they offer the sets in black for those who don't have chrome rails.
The Uconnect screen is just like your phone or pad, it collects prints. I use a damp microfiber towel to wipe it off. I have used 303 Aerospace protectant for years on my vehicles, the interior (not on leather), the exterior black trim around the wheel wells and under the doors, and on the tires. It has high UV protection and works wonderfully.

Based on your level of enthusiasm for this product, am I safe to assume it does NOT leave a white residue behind like some automotive waxes do?
On my 2014 Grand Cherokee WK2, I use leather wipes to clean the dash and seats (mine has leather seats). They work well for spot cleaning (I even use them on the aluminum trim in the center console, where it's common to see drink stains... they clean it right up)! If you're really concerned about getting the seats dirty, invest in a good set of vinyl seat covers that can be wiped down. Also, Weathertech "Digital Fit" floor and cargo liners can just be removed and hosed down when they get dirty. We took my Jeep to the beach this past summer, and just hosed them down to get the sand out once we got back.
BTW, congrats on your new Jeep... welcome to the forums, and welcome to the Jeep family!!!

How’s the new Jeep doing?
I just bought a 2020 limited and loving it! I bought the rubber Mopar brand of floor mats they are awesome! Also for your screen you can buy a screen protector just like on a phone, this protects from scratches and less fingerprints. I ordered one but it was the wrong size so will be re-ordering.
Do you know a good brand of seat covers that work well with the heated and ventilation seats?
Overland model, here:
Enjoy your heated/cooled seats, no point in protecting them for the next owner. Any OTC seatcover option will spoil the effect for you as long as you own the car. If you manage to keep it long enough to wear them out (10+ years), you can replace the seat covers with OEM easily enough and won't be living with a downscale compromise for the option you should be enjoying.
As far as the touch screen goes, it's in their nature to collect more fingerprints than the FBI. We keep a mini-spritzer from Lenscrafter in the console to give it a wipe when it becomes too heavy, between detailing.
I agree with sailbad, any cover will reduce or eliminate the cooling airflow of the vented seats you paid good money for. Don’t do it. Invest in a good cleaner, much less expensive than seat covers. Besides, you’ll have to clean the seat covers on occasion anyway.....
