Default Need Advice: 245/65/17 BFG AT's

Hello - I have researched tires a lot for the last couple months, as my stock are nearing 55k, and I really like the BFG AT look and reviews.

New at this stock tire size 245/65/17, this tire is $175.00 each. I found a pair on facebook martketplace for $100.00, and the seller says they are brand new.

I have 3 pictures attached. Are you able to tell if these are new? And is it worth it at all if I am worried? I do see in the pics that they still have the vent spews on them (little hair nubs)

What do you guys think? Any suggestions? If I bought these 2 from Marketplace, I would also buy 2 new from Discount and replace all 4 at the same time.

Thank you in advance for your time!

You need to check the DOT date code to see how old they are. New doesn't mean good. 6 years is the recommended limit and most people run them well past that without issue but should be kept in mind.

The dark spot on the top picture looks like it's from a balancing weight, which would imply they've been previously mounted on a rim. They look like they have some mileage, but not much. Rock or grit in the siping would be a give away. You'd need to measure the tread depth to be sure. New tread depth for that size is 13/32". If they're not dry rotten or ancient, $100 for the pair is still a great deal.

Thanks for the input. I decided to just go with new and I actually went with the toyo at3 instead of the bfg ko2. Was 20$ cheaper per tire and after reading a lot of reviews it seemed like a good choice for me. Not to mention a 65k mi warranty. Stayed with stock size.
