Sorry for providing incorrect information. Apparently, the Cherokee model does not have two batteries, as I thought. Googling it always found it's way back to the Grand Cherokee and the Jeep.com website wasn't much help either. I did have to replace my single battery, after only 3yrs (not covered by warranty) and everything seems to be good now. Good luck sorting though your issue.

I think the 2 battery idea is a pain in the butt and could have been set up better with 2 full size batteries and or one larger battery. Hope your battery warranty takes care of any charges you have.

why did you buy an obd device? waste of money, all you had to do was unplug the hood sensor.

I'm not interested in unplugging or moving sensors under the hood.

Worth every bit of the hundred bucks to me, although probably not to most.

Plus he avoids the downsides of disconnecting the battery sensor.

Anyhow brought it to the dealer and it actually boiled down to the door latch/catch being faulty on the drivers side

Start/Stop light
Engine Management Light

The start/stop light came on because it was related to the door

well hopefully it is that and nothing else, the only issue I have with that is that if yours was faulty I'm assuming your jeep would automatically engage the emergency brake when you move it as the vehicle thinks that the door is open.

when ever I move my 15 and 16 cherokees and the driver side door is open as soon as it moves a few inches it automatically engages the emergency brake.
