Instrument Dimmer Control
My 2022 Cherokee Trailhawk instrument dimmer control seems to have a mind of its own. At night it stays on bright and I have to manually turn the dimmer thumb switch down to make the instrument / radio panels darker so they dont bother me when driving. Then when I get in the rig the next morning, in the daylight, the panels are so dark I cant see them. I have to manually turn the thumb switch back up to see the panels. Doesnt this rig have an automatic daylight / night light dash brightness function? If so how does it work? Along wit the standard features my Jeep also includes: Technology Group B; Comfort & Convenience Group; Trailer Tow Group; Premium Leather Package. Thanks, KM
It has automatic daylight/night light dash brightness, but it is not well programmed. In my case it was dimming instruments when it was rainy and wipers went on automatically, regardless of light conditions. Try to turn off rain sensor/automatic windscreen wipers and see if it helps

You might be able to set dimming options in the U Connect touchscreen under 'Settings' and then something like 'Vehicle Settings', and then something like 'Lights'.
