Electronic E Brake
I have a 2016 v6 KL latitude 4wd that said I am also a smokeless tobacco user and will sometimes open the door to spit (no cup or bottle available at the time). If I am not perfectly still with foot on the brake it activates the E Brake. I know there is a setting in the EVIC that will set the brake every time the vehicle is started and I have that turned off. The question I have is there a way to deactivate the feature that set the E Brake when the door is opened while in motion. I do not open it at highway speed but it seems dangerous to me if the door were to be opened that the Ebrake would lock up the brakes.
