EBC Yellowstuff brake pads
If you find the OEM brake pads lacking in stopping power I highly recommend swapping to EBC brake pads, I put their Yellowstuff pads on front and rear a couple of weeks ago, still breaking them in as per their procedure but I would say they are at least 20% better than OEM in stopping power, firmer peddle feel as well. They can be a little noisier and more brake dust, very slight squeal right now which they said is normal until you have a few hundred miles on and then do the bed in procedure.
I initially put a set on a friends 4 runner which he drives quite hard and he loves them, said they are a vast improvement over factory, I upgraded his to stainless lines as well a couple of weeks after the pads, I'm planning to do the Cherokee soon if I can find them or get them made up.
