I am looking at Centric C-Tek brake pads.
Don't quite know the differences and benefits of ceramic or metallic brake pads.
Help me out with some knowledge here.
Thanks.

Ceramics last longer, but the stopping ability is less.
Here's a link to a good article on it, pros and cons for each on the bottom:

Ceramics- none or minimal brake dust, last longer, slightly less braking power, ?wear out rotors
Metallics- Lots of dust, black dust, good braking, wear out quickly
Semi-Metallics- compromise of the 2, some dust, good braking, good life
I've used all 3 on XJ. All were Centric from Rockauto. I've settled on the Semi-Metallics.
I always use Centric Premium rotors. They seem to last the longest and warp the least.
