Cherokee sport off road capabilities
New Cherokee Sport owner here- I am trying to determine what my off road limits are with my 2014 sport that is still all stock. I know its not for climbing rocks. But so far, I cant find any videos of a Cherokee sport off road except the trailhawk. I just want to access areas that are on some of our wonderful mt passes out here in the West that are tame for the most part to get closer to some nice watering holes and campsites. So I am asking for your experiences- Did you ever get stuck in shallow sand and gravel or did you ever not make it up a hill you thought you could climb...things like that. And, if you have any videos of a Sport model off road that would be even better. TIA!
It's actually pretty capable with the all-wheel drive and traction control, more capable than a stock XJ as far as the driveline goes. It just doesn't have a lot of ground clearance, so you have to be careful not to get high centered. I find my 2014 TH to be real heavy at 4000 pounds and has poor visibility compared to an XJ or my MJ though.
