As the title says my 2020 Cherokee Limited CEL came on today. Checked it with my OBD II and no codes. Cleared the light thinking (hoping) it was an anomaly but a few miles down the road came on again. Had it checked at O'Reilly's, same thing no code. Checked again at AutoZone same story.

I am no mechanic so not the least familiar with this situation of a CEL but no code. Also disconnected the positive terminal from the battery for about a minute. The light stayed off longer this time but came on later when I started the Jeep.

Any help or advice for be much appreciated.

Seems Jeep is proprietary in the code scanning business. Today a 13K Snap On analyzer at my mechanic's shop would not connect. Finally did what I did not want to do and call the dealer. Service Manager says Jeep is propriety and not surprised. Need to bring it in and have it done!!!

Crock of bull ****e as far as I am concerned. No reason not to be able to read codes in your own friggin' vehicle. Heavily discounting Wranglers and Gladiators up here In NE. I can see why.
