I've been reading around and looking at people who have a Check Engine Light on with the code P0700 "transmission control module" and all I can see is people that have it in conjunction with another code.

Yesterday I replaced my O2 sensors and cleared the codes and suddenly when driving today I got the CEL again and read it to be the P0700.

Anyone know a problem that would cause just this one to appear alone?

I get the same code every once in a while. it seems to happen if i get my jeep pretty wet and muddy. everything seems to run fine and the code usually goes away after about 50miles. Is your jeep having any issues?

Yeah, when there's a lot of moisture in the air, like this past weekend's rain/slush/snow storm, she bogs down and backfires a ton. I attributed that to plug wires arcing and intended on changing them after I got the CEL cleared up.

I was getting 3 codes for bad o2 sensors (2 pre-cat and one cat-back). Those cleared with a battery detach, for some reason my ****ty OBD-II scanner won't clear the codes on anything American, although it cleared the codes on my brother's Nissan.
