2014.... I'm stuck help!!
One my way to work this morning I stopped off at a gas station to get something to drink before jumping on the highway. Go in and come out and try to start my car and NOTHING....... no clicks or anything. All I get is 4wd system is temporarily unavailable. Went under hood and wiggled cables and tried again and nothing. HELP....... HELP......

do you have keyless push button start? try pushing your keyfob against the start button. or better yet, if you have auto start, try that.
or maybe your jeep doesn't know it's in park. if you can, try starting in neutral. you may need to depress the shifter bypass button to shift into neutral with the ignition off. it will tell you how to achieve this via your owners manual.
if neither of those work, i'm at a loss. there is so much computer controlled options now just to start a car. and some newer cars don't even have a shifter anymore.

hmm. then you may have to start checking fuses and relays. you can try swapping your ASD relay with your horn relay. they should be the same. you can find them in the PDC box under the hood.
if that doesn't work, check your battery cables for swelling/splitting as they tend to corrode. don't forget the smaller signal wire from battery to PDC.
but i think it's most likely a sensor thing, meaning it's gonna be hard to diagnose roadside without a reader.

When was the last time (if ever) you replaced your battery? They can fail in a similar manner. When the battery went bad on my 2014, I had gone to the grocery store no problem, came out and had a very similar situation to you. I could not even jump it because the vehicle would not stay running.
Also, when you say you "wiggled" cables, were they loose enough that you could move them without loosening any connections?

I’m glad the OP got the cause if his problem identified in just a couple hours. A ‘bad starter’ won’t cause a “4WD unavailable” fault, but whatever. A bad battery is the usual cause of his symptoms, many including myself have personal experience with this. BTW, only an electronic load test of the battery can indicate its health, and even that isn’t 100% fool proof. Good luck to him.

or it could just be a bad day for that message. i get a similar message pop up on my JL rubicon from time to time, saying stop/start is unavailable, but would be back to normal when i start the jeep next time, and may be fine for a month, then it will pop back up.
