Default PLEASE HELP

Good morning everyone.

Please keep a look out. My XJ got stolen sometime between 7pm and 7am Wednesday-Thursday (12/4-12/5) in Jersey City, NJ.

My XJ is a 2001 Cherokee Sport, bluish gray color with NJ licence plate U81AKZ.
It has a 3" lift, 30" tires, 4 hood louvers. On the rear glass is a USMC Sergeant rank decal on the lower left corner, a white oval USMC Artillery decal in the lower middle right above the whipper and a Dive Flag on the lower right corner. It also has JCR offroad Deluxe rock sliders (black) and a new off road driver seat.

On the rear view mirror is a DEP green tag as well.

If it's spotted, please call the Jersey City Police Department @ (201) 547-5477

UPDATE:
Jersey City Ford on Rt. 440 called me and they found some of my personal belongings that were inside my truck "dumped" neatly by their service department. They found it at 7:30am on the corner of Williams Ave. and Bennett St. neatly stacked and "protected" from the rain with the child booster seat over my work documents. On the pic is a dry spot where my belongings were placed. Unfortunately, they took my good work gear! It seems whoever stole it has some form of conscience to not just throw things away.

It seems my rig got stolen around 3-4am Dec. 5th. I didn't cancel my ezpass to see if it can get something. This is what I got today after remembering it.

So good old newark, NJ. Last night while I was at work in the Ironbound district my jeep was stolen. Driven right off from where it was parked near the corner of Delancy and Pulaski. This happened in the middle of the snow/ice storm between 9pm-1130pm. The licenses plate is FMH 3652 NY state.

I'd go as far as a $500.00 reward if I could have it back in mostly one piece. This killed my spirits last night, any help would be great.

The Ezpass is a great idea. I'm not trying to jack your thread but our trucks were stolen about a week and half apart in the same area.

People help us both I'd you can!

Dude...Call EZPass! From what I heard, if you have the new type..the smaller one, those have GPS on them.

I know exactly where your Rig got jacked. It sux having to see a nice Rig. If it only had hood louvers and the JCR rock rails, it looks just like mine but green :'(

One thing to let everybody know also, if you come to Jersey City, Newark, Elizabeth area, be warned! This past week I've been hearing chatter that a bunch of XJ's have been getting stolen. Professional crew have been targeting XJ's Last nite (Sunday) a green one got stolen 2 blocks from where I like.

I wish you the luck DRock. I hope your Rig doesn't end up like mine :'(

On Saturday I got a call from my local police department saying that my vehicle was recovered by the Auto Squad of another city's police department (Newark). It was recovered on 12/14/13 but since it's the weekend, I couldn't do anything until today (Monday) since the Auto Squad and the impound were closed on weekends.

After going to the Newark police to get it released I head to the impound. Trudging though a mud filled lot that looks like a "you pull it junk yard", off in the distance I saw the top quarter of my truck, sitting over the other vehicles . As I ran for it, I thought to myself that this is a great happy ending for my horrible day. When I finally got around to the other mashed up, stripped car chassis before my truck...this is what I saw..

Good luck! I hope your rig is OK.

If it's in Newark, bring a copy of your insurance, license and if you were given a reference number, have that too.

Yea I made out very well. Just the driver and ignition cylinders were damaged. Some tools and my spare Moab with new tire were stolen along with a coat. All and all I am lucky as poop! It's terrible what happened to yours. I almost think the guy could've crashed yours and taken mine right after. Judging but what he took and didn't take, bit of a crack head.

Congrats!!! Very happy for you! That's how it seems like. My vehicle recovered Saturday and your's was then stolen.

Same thing, they used a flathead screwdriver on the driver side door and used that to bust the key cylinder. They took my work hard hat and some work gear, stole my spare tire on stock XJ steel wheel, semi new HD jumper cables and OBD2 scanner, took the gorilla lug socket but didn't take my installed wheels but left a bunch of coins that were in the ashtray.

Time to get a good aftermarket alarm system that can disable your vehicle via smart phone!

Dude, again, congrats! Glad you made it out better than I did
